Denise Clark Weston has been creating art for 30+ years. A former resident of San Diego, California, she now makes her home in Vancouver, Washington..
Denise has studied with a great many nationally and internationally known artists, including Francoise Gilot, Joe Mugnani and Harry Sternberg. She studied Printmaking at the University of Oregon under Ken Paul and LaVerne Krause, earning her Master's Degree in Fine Art (MFA) in 1985.
She is married to Rod, and mother to their two wonderful children. Her son, Andrew, serves our country as a member of the US Army. Her daughter, Audrie is a junior in high school, and hopes to enter the Real Estate field.
Denise has worked seriously in a variety of media, including, but not limited to, oil paint, acrylics, watercolor, colored pencil, etching, silkscreen, woodcut, ceramic, jewelry, and graphic design.
Denise has done large pieces like theatrical scenery, murals and trompe l'oeil,
and has worked small, for example silk ribbon embroidery, and hand-
Her subject matter includes animals, portraits and landscape.
Her work is in public and private collections around the world. She has displayed her work in solo and group exhibits. Denise is available on a limited basis for commissioned work.
Denise's love for animals and nature is based in and not separate from her love for God. She tries to live every day and every moment to please her Lord and Savior. She and her family attend church at Real Life Community Church in Vancouver Washington.
